"Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist (Confessions #1)" Book Review

My Rating: ★★★★★ 5 Stars

A short, romantic comedy. Took me a few days but that's because I was sort of busy.

I gave this 5 stars because it deserves it. I didn't love it but I can appreciate the work the author put into this piece. Of course it was predictable, what romantic comedy isn't?

The cover is bright, colorful and modern; it reels you in.

The writing reminds me of a Kinsella novel which means its superb. I didn't see any typos.

There were funny bits which actually made me laugh out loud.

I think the stars given to these kinds of novels will depend a lot on the mood the reader is in. I could have given this 3 or a 4, or even a 2 because of predictability but I settled on 5, as I said - it's what it deserves.

"50 SERIAL KILLERS: Bloody Protagonists of History's Worst Murder Sprees" Book Review

My Rating: ★★★★★ 5 Stars

Informative.

I guess it delivered what it said it would. I did "learn" about 50 serial killers.

It was short and to the point, starting with a bit of history and psychology to give the readers an understanding of the inner workings of the average psychopath.

Then the book provided information about each serial killer - date of birth, date of death (when available), crimes committed, crimes convicted of etc.

There was no conclusion though which was a bit odd, but hey, this was 77 pages of 'vital' information on serial killers, an introduction was enough I guess.

By the way, who reads this kind of stuff?! I'm really interested in knowing the target audience that the author had in mind. And might I just add, I only read it because of the bloody awesome cover!
